LCS Picks First-Ever CMO

LCS, the second-largest senior living operator in the U.S., has made Chris Westermann its first-ever chief marketing officer, promoting him from his previous position as vice president and senior director of marketing.

Before joining LCS in 2018, Westermann served as vice president of partner services with A Place for Mom.

Transforming Age Transitions SHAG CEO to VP Role

Transforming Age announced that Sustainable Housing for Ageless Generations (SHAG) CEO and Executive Director Jay Woolford will become the organization’s vice president of real estate development.

In his new role, Woolford will go to work developing mid-market housing options for the aging baby boomer population who do not qualify for subsidized housing.

SHAG and Transforming Age first announced their plans to affiliate about a year ago.

Solvere Living Names VP of Sales and Marketing

Senior living management firm Solvere Living has named Rich Gordon to the post of vice president of Sales and Marketing.

Gordon brings 20 years of experience to his new role, including time as regional sales and marketing director for Civitas Senior Living.

The Springs Living Finds Sales & Marketing Director In-House

The Springs Living announced Candice Marks has been promoted to the position of senior director of sales and marketing. Previously, Marks was regional director of sales and was responsible for lease-up sales.

The Springs Living credits Marks with leading efforts to recover 6% of the 9% decline in occupancy that resulted from the Covid-19 pandemic. She first joined the company in 2010.

The Springs Living also promoted Jillian Gue to the role of executive director for a community in Whitefish, Montana.

Gue has worked in various roles with The Springs since May 2018, and prior to that at communities elsewhere in southern Montana. She was most recently a health services administrator at another The Springs Living community.

The Springs Living also named:

– Zach Fletcher to the role of director of creative design, where he will lead the company’s graphic design, photography, and video services for marketing and communications.

– Matt Stubblefield to the role of director of marketing, where he will help drive marketing strategy, brand awareness and digital marketing efforts.

Cadence Living Adds VP of Talent Aggregation

Doug Bandola has joined Cadence Living as the new vice president of talent aggregation, according to a release.

Bandola has worked in leadership and recruitment roles at various companies in and outside of senior living. Most recently, he served as manager of talent acquisition for Enlivant Senior Living.

Springton Lake Village Appoints New Executive Director

Springton Lake Village has announced that Rebecca Starr will be the community’s new executive director in Media, Pennsylvania.

Starr has more than a decade of operations and management experience in the Southern Philadelphia area including her most recent role as Senior Program Director of Youth Development at the YMCA of Greater Brandywine.

Lifespace Communities Names Chief Revenue Officer

Lifespace Communities announced that Dana Smith is the new chief revenue officer.

Smith, who assumed the position earlier this week, has more than 15 years of experience in continuing care retirement communities with expertise in revenue and occupancy development, planning, and execution. Smith most recently led the operations of a senior living portfolio in Texas.

Pegasus Welcomes New Executives

Pegasus Senior Living announced a pair of corporate additions and a pair of community additions.

The operator announced that Lauren Saloom will be the director of life enrichment, where she is tasked with creating and executing activities and events. Pegasus also announced Pamela Hardesty will be regional vice president of operations, where she will oversee the operations of the Pegasus’ California team.

At the community level, Pegasus tapped Chad Rogers to work as executive director of Sterling Court in Roseville, California; and the company named Julia Colangelo as the new executive director of Broadway Mesa Village in Mesa, Arizona.
