This Neskowin beach house was engineered to endure wind, rain and time

Whipping, 100-mile-per-hour winds could not stop Jon and Kelli Gehrs from building their home on the Oregon coast. Neither could pounding storms and all other weather and climate challenges, now and in the future.

Being together at the beach in Neskowin is a family tradition. Kelli, who grew up in Portland, remembers traveling 90 miles to spend weekends and summers at her parents’ cabin. Kelli and Jon’s three children had the same experience, bunking in the Gehrs’ vacation cottage in Neskowin village.
