Scott Cook of Cook Design Studio, Inc. wins award


The American Institute of Building Design (AIBD) has awarded Scott Cook of Cook Design Studio, Inc. in Walterboro the Grand ARDA in Working Drawings. 

The American Residential Design Awards (ARDA) is the American Institute of Building Design’s premier international award program exhibiting design excellence in the residential building industry. It spotlights the most creative and innovative residential designers, builders, remodelers, architects, developers, land planners and interior designers in the nation.  Grand ARDAs are given to entries that stand out among the other entries in their category. 

The announcement came at the American Residential Design Awards annual gala dinner held at The St. Paul Hotel in St. Paul, Minnesota, on July 30. The event serves as the closing ceremony for the AIBD’s annual Membership Meeting and the Design and Build Summer Conference. 

Scott Cook has been a building professional for over 20 years. He began Cook Design Studio, Inc. as Lowcountry Residential Designs in Walterboro in the early 2000’s.  

The American Institute of Building Design, a nonprofit professional organization established in 1950, strives to protect and enhance the practice of residential building design. AIBD provides certification and quality continuing education to help members remain current with technology, materials, and building codes.
