Largest home show of its kind

In 2021, the long-running Home & Garden Show joined forces with the equally steadfast Home Expo to create a combined show – the Green Bay Home + Lifestyles Experience.

Put on in partnership with the Brown County Home Builders Association (BCHBA), the combo event will again be back at the Resch Expo March 18-20.

Event Designer

Dakota Hicks of PMI Entertainment Group serves as event designer, and said though PMI’s partnership with the event is fresh, there has already been significant growth.

“The partnership is still very young” she said, “but we have definitely learned to anticipate what the other side needs, and are growing together to build on the amazing foundation that each side brought to the partnership. I am very excited to see where we are able to take this event together.”

Hicks said what started out as a general home and garden show, has now set itself apart by expanding its offerings to become the largest show of its kind in the region.

“The Green Bay Home + Lifestyles Experience has grown to become more than just a home and garden show,” she said. “It still has everything you need for the brick-and-mortar, but will now have some more design elements and lifestyle options to try.”

As in years past, the annual home show will feature professionals from all areas of the home building industry.

“As always the event will have everything you need to do a home build or remodel of any size, we have windows, siding and decks,” she said. “The event will also feature the smaller things that make up the inside of your home as well.”

Hicks said the expo features industry experts who will share newest insights, products and services in a variety of categories, including home building, remodeling, landscaping, interior improvements, appliances, furnishing, pools and spas, bedding, bath and more

Since the partnership with PMI, Hicks said the event has begun to expand its focus to include not just what makes a house, but also what goes into making that house a home.

She said the expanded focus comes with new displays, vendors and features.

“The displays that are put up and put together are incredible and definitely stand out,” she said.

Hicks said she encourages attendees to “really get to know the vendors who are here for the show.”

“They are the best and are the ones who really do help make dream houses,” she said.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to attend other special events going on at the expo, such as Home + Hops, a craft beer/seltzer sampling event taking place Friday, March 18, and a Pop-Up Art Gallery in collaboration with the Art Garage on Saturday, March 19.

The gallery will also feature some LEGO pieces put together by the FoxLUG.

The BCHBA Middle School Backyard Build contest is also back.

Attendees are encouraged to check out the projects built by the following area middle schools:

• Aldo Leopold/Washington Middle School

• Algoma Middle School

• De Pere Middle School

• Marinette Middle School

• Peshtigo Middle School

• West De Pere Middle School

The winning schools for the People’s Choice and Builder’s Choice Awards will each receive $500.

Entries will be judged on construction design, functionality, creativity and the use of recycled materials.

Proceeds support student scholarships and the BCHBA Tools for Schools program!
