Las Vegas, Nevada – Daniel Joseph Chenin, Ltd. was recognized with the Nevada American Institute of Architects (AIA) 2021 Firm Award. Every year, the AIA recognizes one architectural firm for each state who consistently produces distinguished architecture and has contributed to the profession and their respective communities. The AIA Architecture Firm Award is the highest honor the AIA bestows on an architecture practice for consistently producing distinguished architecture.
Firms must demonstrate great depth and breadth in their work; having a cumulative effect on the profession of architecture in their State; produced work that is a product of a collaborative environment; consistently addressing the future of architecture while honoring its tradition; transcended or united specific areas of expertise; and become widely known by architects, designers, educators, and the public for the quality of their work.
The Jury noted, “The quality of their design is unquestionable, but what also distinguishes them is their contributions of time and talent to the community and organizations that help people in important ways. These exceptionally creative minds have also proven they have a lot of heart.”
The award was given at the annual AIA Nevada Excellence in Design and Service Awards in December 2021, where the firm also won two design awards in the Built Projects Category – an Honor Award for Commercial Interiors for Atelier 2.0 (the firm’s office) and a Merit Award for Residential Architecture/Interiors for a residence dubbed Fort 137, located in the Summit custom home community.
