Modern home in Myers park was county’s priciest home sale last month at $5.7M

A newly built, modern abode in Myers Park held the highest sale price last month in Mecklenburg County, trading for $5.65 million in late April.

The 7,072-square-foot home has six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms. It was designed for entertaining, with an open floor plan and smart-home features incorporated throughout the home. It also includes 20-foot-tall, electronic glass doors in the great room that open to the pool and outdoor sitting area, according to its listing details.

The home on the 2100 block of Selwyn Avenue is just down the street from Queens University. The 0.62-acre lot formerly housed a fourplex property, according to listing brokerage Corcoran HM Properties of Charlotte. Michelle Teague with that firm handled the listing for the seller.

The home that replaced it was completed this year. Charlotte-based Mills Eloge Homes served as the builder, and Smith Slovik Residential Design Group, also of Charlotte, was the architect.

Homes on the April list range in sale price from $2.61 million to the nearly $5.7 million deal on Selwyn Avenue. In addition to Myers Park, they span the neighborhoods of Carmel Estates, Morrocroft Estates, Challis Farm and Eastover in Charlotte, as will as Riverchase, Bluff Point and The Peninsula in Cornelius.
