Job Description:
The pinnacle source of kitchens for over 87 years, St. Charles New York is seeking an experienced Kitchen Designer specializing in residential remodeling and new construction sales to join its team. We are looking for a creative designer who has a discerning eye and experience with custom cabinetry, accessories, hardware, lighting, and all the “finishing” details in high-end residential projects.
- Under the direction of the Creative Director, conceptualize and execute designs for kitchen solutions in AutoCAD and 3D software
- Manage overall progress of projects: conduct site visits, take field measurements, coordinate with factories, prepare installation drawings, and field supervision
- Prepare for client presentations
- Budget management on projects
- Other duties, as may be assigned
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
The successful candidate shall have the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales and design experience with a kitchen & bath showroom, residential design-build remodeling company, or a residential interior design & remodel firm.
- Design Degree (Associate or Bachelor)
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, SketchUp, and Revit proficiency a plus
- Working knowledge of design and construction and home renovation
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks and prioritize and meet deadlines
- Must be proactive
- Prepare accurate construction drawings, elevations, and final documents.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
