Mockler Taylor Architects is looking for a talented and energetic Intermediate Architect to join our team. We seek candidates that have a desire to work in all phases of the design and construction process, and to collaborate closely with clients, consultants, general contractors and material suppliers.  This individual will be a self starter with high attention to quality and detail, strong organizational skills, creativity, and an ability to concurrently manage multiple priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the firm’s Principals on multiple projects from pre-design work through the end of construction.
  • Engage in projects range from new homes and accessory structures such as pool houses, to addition and renovation work.
  • Prepare and develop highly detailed construction documents both independently and collaboratively.
  • Produce and manage architectural schedules with a high level of proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Develop and participate in client presentations related to their projects.
  • Communicate / collaborate effectively with clients, builders and vendors  to ensure quality and timeliness of project deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
  • Professional experience in high-end, single-family residential design. 
  • Strong understanding of project processes related to architectural design, documentation, and construction.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both written and spoken), and the ability to effectively communicate with clients, builders and product representatives. 
  • Proficiency in ArchiCAD for creation of 3-dimentional models, and highly detailed construction documents.  
  • Proficiency in Mac OS.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work in a focused manner without distraction.
