Developer known for Natural Grocers buys McCall’s Pancake House

An iconic McCall breakfast restaurant has officially sold.

Back in early December 2021, BoiseDev reported the Pancake House was officially closing its doors for good. But at the time, the new owner of the property was unknown.

A warranty deed filed with the Valley County Assessor’s office shows the property has been transferred from the Bertram family to EVE McCall of Topeka, Kansas.

The address listed for EVE McCall matches that of Equity Ventures Comercial Development, which is described as an “all-encompassing” real estate development business.

According to the Colorado Real Estate Journal, Equity Ventures is the “preferred developer of Natural Grocers and develops each of their store locations.”

Speculation in the town for several months centered on a chain natural foods store taking over the property.

Natural Grocers has operated since 1955, with more than 160 stores across the US. It operates in a variety of markets – including smaller areas like Hailey. It also runs a store in Boise on Milwaukee St.

BoiseDev asked a Natural Grocers spokesperson about plans for a store in McCall, but they did not respond.
