Cranberry Township Zoning/Code Enforcement Officer This position is responsible for enforcing all Cranberry Township codes/ordinances, issuing permits, work with the township and county planning commissions, testifying at hearings, and attending workshop and seminars as necessary. Applicants should have a minimum of two years post-secondary education, exceptional communication and organizational skills, computer proficiency, and sound reasoning ability. Preferred candidates would have experience in municipal government, law enforcement, permitting and planning and/or construction development. The ideal candidate must: possess a valid PA drivers license (CDL is preferred), be able to follow written and oral directions, process routine knowledge of vehicle and equipment operation methods, be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time, be able to operate the Township’s small tools and equipment. Examples of typical daily work may include: manual labor, operate township heavy equipment and vehicles, repair broken or deficient underground pipes, daily maintenance of township water/sewer facilities. Possession of a current DEP water license is also preferred, or which must be obtained within 1 year of employment at the township’s expense.
