Cityscape Qatar opens today with over 60 regional, international exhibitors

More than 60 regional and international developers, brokers, architects, and more will participate in Cityscape Qatar, which opens today (June 20) at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC).

The event, which runs until June 22, is being held under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani, will bring together leaders from the region’s top real estate developers and government entities.
Visitors can expect exclusive access to highly-anticipated project launches from across the country and the region, including state-of-the-art residential developments, commercial units, and luxury hospitality projects. Exhibitors taking part in the three-day event include Qetaifan Projects, Aqarco, DAMAC, Regal London Properties, and Akam Developments.
While visitors will be able to meet developers, brokers, and service providers in person at the show, real estate enthusiasts can also attend a series of free Cityscape Talks conference sessions.
Aligned with the four pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030 – sustainable, resilient, affordable, and liveable – the streams will feature speakers from both government entities and key real estate experts, with each demonstrating how these pillars are gaining prominence and changing the future of real estate in Qatar.
The conference agenda will cover topics, such as ‘Big Opportunities for Qatar Real Estate: A Macroeconomic Perspective’, ‘The Future of Architecture in Qatar’, and ‘ESG – A Game Changer for the GCC Real Estate Sector’.
Local developer Qetaifan Projects, a real estate development company founded in October 2017 and fully owned by Katara Hospitality, is participating once again at this year’s event and will showcase new projects within its Qetaifan Island North.
“This year, we will be showcasing our new retail plazas, an exclusive set of waterside retail, café, and restaurant units as a platinum sponsor at Cityscape 2022,” said Sheikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, managing director, Qetaifan Projects.
He added: “Qetaifan Island North is the first entertainment island in Qatar. We have partnered with the best teams to create a waterpark that follows the theme of oil and gas and showcases our cultural foundation.
“We are aiming to provide a high standard of living, diversity, and sustainability for both residents and visitors of the island and we consider it as one of the long-term goals of Qetaifan Projects as well as it being part of Qatar’s national vision of 2030.”
Chris Speller, vice president of the Cityscape portfolio at Informa Markets, said: “This year’s edition will allow visitors and industry professionals alike to fully-immerse in the world of real estate.
The Cityscape Talks stage will present a line-up of industry leaders discussing the latest trends shaping the market and highlighting areas of further growth in the real estate industry. It is an ideal opportunity for networking with industry experts, developers, and clients, especially with the promising events taking place in Qatar this year.
“Every year, we see an increase in exhibitor numbers and rising interest from regional markets looking to attend and discover more about the latest projects launching in Qatar. The investment opportunities are obvious, and this year’s show is obviously extremely important for those looking to get into the market,” he said.
